(Just finished my first exam. Before starting to prapare for the second one, I want to complete this article which I drafted more than a week ago.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a long birthday week. Supin's birthday was on 24th. Chialing's was on 26th. Jason and I are on the same day (and it's today). As I had planned to spend time with them and celebrate our birthdays together, I called it "birthday week."

April 23.

Supin, Kuanling, Chunchi, Sally, Peiju學姊, and I had a simple dinner together in Harvard Sq. It has been titled as a Spanish restaurant but sells sandwishes actually. The sandwishes were good. I loved the cripy bread. Besides, the waitress was nice and served us sufficient plates to divide the cake.

Most important of all, it seemed the first time during the spring term that we four, 情比姊妹深, got together. Those old happy time seemed coming back to me as we chatted, laughed at each other, and shared funny things in life. Like one of us said, "So happy to be here today!" Indeed, it has been too long since the last time we got together. I hope, perhaps, that after the disgusting exams and before the exciting commencement (hope we all can be on the commencement list), we can have something fun together!!

April 25.

HSPH friends and I went to North End to enjoyed the Italian food. It was a huge feast!! We took the advice from the waitress and they served us a family set, which contained the appertizer and two options of entree. (we chose seafood and beef.)

We were all surprised by the huge size of the appertizer. Somehow, it tasted like Taiwanese food...:p

Then, there came the mysterious pasta. It was...plain, but actually quite good, for 很有嚼勁. (sorry...don't know how to put it in English....)

The entrees were seafood and beef. The seafood included lobsters. As the birthday girl of the day, I was privilegeed to enjoy a half. (others had to share the rest half...)

The beef was veal, which was so tender and delicious (hard to forget) that I kept putting it into my mouth.....even if I had been already full before the veal was presented to us...

In sum, it was not only an unforgettable birthday dinner, but also a probable ending gathering before graduation (no wonder it was the most expensive birthday dinner since last year...:p).

April 26

It was Chialin's birthday. We had our first spring BBQ at Yentu學長's house as celebration. The wether was sunny but windy. Thus, you felt warm under the sunshine but felt chilly once you left the sunny sun. All of us had to wear our jackets to stay warm. Some of us even surrounded the grill to seek thermals!!

Chialin prepared so much food that kept me full until nearly mid-night when SSS and I went to Chinatown for some simple food as late dinner. (obviously, it was too late....nearly mid-night...) In addition to the necessary 肉片, we had 培根乾貝捲, 烤絲瓜, 雞翅, 玉米, 創意魚串, and most important, 大腸包小腸!!!!! Amazing~~~!!!~~~

Of course we didn't miss the dessert. Both Sally and Shunling prepared cakes, and Chialin bought a cheese cake as well. Therefore, we had three kinds of cakes after BBQ!!! I guess it is always a gratifying thing to have something sweet after a meal. I love dessert~*^^*~

Chialin and the three cakes

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a summary of my so-called "birthday week." Owing to my poor memory and my poor English, I can only write down this much as listed above. It's the first "birthday week" I have ever had. I hope I will have more birthday weeks hereafter. (Sigh...since Supin will move to NC, Jason will go back to TW, Chialin will keep staying in Cambridge, and I don't know where I will be after HLS, I am not sure if I will have any birthday week. Probably when I happen to know some people whose birthdays are in late April again, I will have birthday week again.)
